My specialties are hats, socks, mittens, and bags. But I’m up for a challenge with enough time and money.

I didn’t disappear permanently. I got busy. Busy knitting. Busy crocheting. Busy writing. Busy working. Busy, busy, busy. But happily busy.
To catch you up quickly.

The Glory Rose pattern releases today on Ravelry. This is the beautiful, easy and quick knit, by designer, Alisa Hartzel. Follow her on Instagram: aquamoonknits.

I knit the majority of this top on my way to and back from the Montrose Christian Writers Conference, in Montrose, PA. Once you get past where your divide for the sleeves, it is a quick knit. Yet the pattern down the middle and on the sides keeps it interesting and makes a cute finished project.
I knit it with Berocco Remix Light, a DK weight yarn. The Glory Rose is the second item I’ve knit with this yarn. It is incredibly soft, rustic looking and durable. Now I have a matching tee and cardigan.

I’ve been a busy bee This past week. Beside working on TWO new books, I’ve knit and crocheted several items for others (and a couple for me.)

People look at me like I’m a crazy old lady when I tell them I only wear hand knit socks. (I do have store bought athletic socks for working our and a couple pair of sturdy SmartWool socks for gardening. But other than for those special purposes, I wear socks I’ve knit myself exclusively.
