Off My Needles

Glory Rose Test Knit

The Glory Rose pattern releases today on Ravelry. This is the beautiful, easy and quick knit, by designer, Alisa Hartzel. Follow her on Instagram: aquamoonknits.

I knit the majority of this top on my way to and back from the Montrose Christian Writers Conference, in Montrose, PA. Once you get past where your divide for the sleeves, it is a quick knit. Yet the pattern down the middle and on the sides keeps it interesting and makes a cute finished project.

I knit it with Berocco Remix Light, a DK weight yarn. The Glory Rose is the second item I’ve knit with this yarn. It is incredibly soft, rustic looking and durable. Now I have a matching tee and cardigan.

Summer Sweater Knit

I’ve been making tons of market bags for others. As soon as I finish one, I start another. They are such fun to crochet.

But my hands were itching to knit a summer cardigan just for me. When I found this yarn at my favorite local yarn shop, The Farmer’s Wife/The Yarn Studio, in Casey, Illinois, I knew it was the yarn for me. It matches perfectly my odd colored, yet beloved pants. (Don’t tell my husband I bought more yarn!)

Then I went on a Ravelry search for a pattern and found the Solana Cardigan by Irina Anikeeva. The cardi is going to be so lovely…and soft. Watch for progress updates.
